Blogger has just lost my comment! I shall resort to an email!!!
Oh dear, oh dear - how often in the last weeks have I myself written that (IF there was an email-adress), or have given up after writing an (hopefully) emphatic comment - witty and pretty :-) - only to see it vanish in the haze, and that damned (sorry) sign comming up: Ooops - something happened (or words like that, I was too furious to remember them...) It started when Blogspot made new gadgets and I could not enter at all - for days - everytime they asked me for the password to my Google account - and, though knowing I was absolutely correct (having it written down) - I thought: Well, then I will change it.
A lot of correspondence went to and fro - like correspondence with -mmmh, who is the maddest madman of all times being?
"Utterly absurd" is the nicest word I can find for it - because the damned (sorry) answering machine of course couldn't even understand the problem!
A student in Germany helped me - I changed from Chrome to Firefox - then it worked most of the time, but not always - especially risky are comments to The Hostess of the Humble Bungalow, The Idiot Gardener and Annie. If I think of it I get cunny: copy my w&p-comment and laugh triumphantly when Google starts to heave its "Ooops!" - because I can try it again, on Chrome maybe, or Firefox - whatsoever.
And now I have to read that some of you have the problem to enter comments on my blog - see dear Penny's comment above.
I say!
We are not amused!
Do any of you ingenious bloggers can offer an advice? What is happening? Do you have the same problem too? What shall - and can - I do??

Not a jot of advice coming from me. I just want to heave the computer when the blogger foolishness sets in. The problems disappear as quickly as they came, only to crop up again with a new and nasty challenge.
Now let's see if this publishes......
Well, it did - thanks heaven!
I feel so helpless when I go round and round in circles with the automatic-dance-machine :-)
I did read someone suggesting that to unclick the 'keep me signed in' box worked for them. This has been sad for all of us. So many lovely interactions cancelled out. :(
What i do now is copy all the text before trying to send it...then if Blogger goes sideways I am safe I just paste in the text again and try a second time.
Did you try Blogger Help Forums? It might be the search engine that you are using.
Hi Britta,
I will tell you what I usually do when writing a comment. After typing the comment, before posting, I used to copy paste the entire text and then use the text again and again if such problems happen. So far nothing adverse happened to me from blogger..
and you have the spam detection facility is enabled. So whenever someone posting a comment, the person has to press the Post Comment button twice, press it for the first time and press once again after typing the captcha phrase..
hope that helps..
No comments from me lately, but it's not Blogger or Google's fault. Just mine! Thanks for stopping by the other day and checking in with me. All is well and as it should be.
A little trouble submitting this comment, BTW. I had to sign in again with Blogger and unclick the Stay Signed In box. Strange!
I had one person tell me when the log in page pops up don't check the keep me signed in box. I tried that once and it seemed to help. I THOUGHT the issue was past, I haven't had any problems for a week or more. Makes you crazy!!!
Sometimes the same happens me, but I don't know why and in which way I can stop this!
Sorry no help from me in that case!
Bisou, Babi
Hey you! I noticed you said you were having problems with 'Annie'. Is that me, or a different Annie?
Blogger has been a complete dog for the last few months. I know loads of people who have had comments / followers / posts disappear. Quite a few have resolved to move their blog to Wordpress instead.
I hope it gets sorted soon!!
Thank you all!
I am happy that all your comments came through - and am overwhelmed that there are so many!
I followed your advice to unclick the "keep me in"-button (I'm sorry to say: it doesn't work - although I'll keep it like that - one never knows :-)
I do copy my comments now - so I can post them again. I am not so sure whether the Spam- device Tomz mentioned is enabled - I only press once, have to look that up when our son comes to visit us. One idea of mine is that maybe the time spent reading your post and thinking about a witty answer might be a cause for the 'oops'.
Be it as it may - I continue to comment. And hope you will too.
PS: I'm glad that you are back again, dear Walk2Write! And: Yes, Annie - I meant you! Wordpress is new to me - I will look it up.
So once again: Thank you, all of you!
PPS: Dear Kevin Musgrove,
I DO love your Tales from Helmingdale very, very much (and wish them to be continued!). Nevertheless I wonder why a new gadget under my post here says "Links to this post" - and presents about 2837 headlines of your post? :-) Another mystery in blogland...
